Why did you buy this house ?
I love that it’s brand new (when I bought it a year ago) and so I get the best of everything, I get to live in beautiful historic Charleston, but have a brand new house, that is virtually maintenance free, so I can spend my free time enjoying the city, rather than maintaining an old house.
Why did you buy in this area ?
Because it’s in the most exciting part of the city, just look at the all the new restaurants that are opening around me. It’s a more residential part of Charleston, it’s a true neighborhood with locals living there, rather than some of the more touristy areas of the city.
What are your favorite things about your house ?
Well, I love the modern feel to it, the open floor plan and the kitchen is important to me, because I love to entertain, I upgraded the appliances to Wolf and Subzero. I have a garage, which not many houses have downtown, that’s a huge bonus. My energy bills are low because it’s so new and I travel a lot, it’s so easy to lock it up and go travel, without having to worry about a yard or any maintenance.
What’s your favorite place in the area for coffee/breakfast/lunch/dinner ?
It’s hard to settle on one place as a favorite because there is a new place opening every week and I have to try them all !
