Mt Pleasant Lake House Flip

My favorite flip yet. Set on a lake in Mt Pleasant, the views of the lake were blocked by a massive wall with a fireplace !! I don’t know what the original architect was thinking but it was crazy to have the nicest lake in Mt Pleasant and not be able to see it.

BACKGROUND

This is my favorite renovation yet. I actually showed this house to some clients of mine for them to buy it. As soon as I walked into it, I wanted it for myself, but I have a duty to my clients, so I waited until they decided that it was too big of a project for them to take on before I submitted an offer & bought it myself.

This is a fabulous property in Lakeshore in Mt Pleasant. It’s on this gorgeous lake but the views of the lake were blocked by a massive wall with a fireplace !! I don’t know what the original architect was thinking but it was crazy to have the nicest lake in Mt Pleasant and not be able to see it.

Usually I manage my renovations myself, but this house was a six figure total renovation and I was working my regular day job as a realtor, so I hired my good friend and kite instructor, Scott Hyland from Hyland Construction, for this project.

It took 3 months and every last penny of the budget, but it turned out better than I could have expected and the new owners got the lake view that the lot deserved.
